Hartlepool Labour MP takes a swipe at Reform UK's Richard Tice, calling the party "Putin's Poodles", whilst the Labour Government leave Pensioners Shivering in the cold to fund a conflict thousands of miles away from home !

Britain’s propagandists are constantly beating the drums about Ukraine being the innocent victim in its conflict with Russia.
The narrative has become so entrenched that even local Hartlepool Labour MP Jonathan Brash has jumped on the bandwagon—despite having little (if any) understanding of how the situation unfolded or Ukraine’s deep-rooted neo-Nazi links, which have turned it into one of the most dangerous countries in Europe.
Firstly, Ukraine is consistently ranked as one of the most corrupt nations in the world. This aligns very well with the British government, as corruption thrives among like-minded allies. The corrupt always protect the corrupt, ensuring that Western funding continues to flow into Ukraine despite the widespread graft and lack of accountability.

The Ukraine conflict can trace its roots back over a decade, with the 2014 Maidan coup also known as the Maidan Revolution or the Ukrainian Revolution, which saw the Western-backed overthrow of Ukraine’s democratically elected president, Viktor Yanukovych. This led to a violent crackdown on Russian-speaking populations residing in the Donbas regions, sparking an internal conflict. To resolve this, the Minsk Agreements were signed in 2014 and 2015, outlining a road map for peace, including autonomy for the Donbas regions. However, Ukraine, heavily backed by the West, repeatedly violated these agreements, refusing to implement their terms and continuing their military operations in the east. Former leaders like Angela Merkel and François Hollande later admitted that the Minsk Agreements were never intended to be implemented but were merely a tactic to buy time for Ukraine to build its military. This apparent 'deceit', coupled with NATO’s continued expansion towards Russia’s borders, left Moscow with little choice but to intervene militarily in 2022 to protect Russian-speaking populations in the region and secure its strategic interests.

Adding to this toxic mix is President Volodymyr Zelensky, who refuses to hold elections, citing the ongoing war as his justification. However, his real motive appears to be consolidating power whilst sending thousands of conscripted young men to the frontlines to fight a war that, by all reasonable calculations, Ukraine is never likely to win—even with Britain and NATO funnelling money and weapons into the country. Meanwhile, back home, British citizens are left to freeze as essential services and support—such as winter fuel payments—are slashed to bankroll a foreign conflict that serves only elite geopolitical interests at the cost of those suffering the cost of the war back home in the form of cuts to financial support & ever increasing utility bills.

Despite these grim realities, Hartlepool Labour MP Jonathan Brash has found his voice on Ukraine, passionately supporting Zelensky’s increasingly authoritarian regime. This is unsurprising given that Brash himself benefited from the UK’s broken first-past-the-post electoral system, which enables politicians like Brash—elected by a minority of the public vote—to wield disproportionate power. He's now an ardent advocate for Britain’s self-imposed impoverishment, funnelling resources into a proxy war whilst his own constituents struggle under the weight of an Immigration Crisis, a Housing Crisis, & a floundering UK economy that's punishing the poorest in society whilst the Liberal Elites nestle away their fortunes. .
Yet Brash and others conveniently ignore one crucial detail: Ukraine’s long-standing ties to far-right extremism. This isn’t a recent phenomenon either—it dates all the way back to World War II, when Ukrainian nationalist militias collaborated with the Nazis, committing unimaginable atrocities against Jews, Poles, and even the Russians.

Groups like the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) played a significant role in ethnic cleansing, yet today, their legacy is whitewashed, and their ideological successors are strategically embedded within Ukraine’s political and military structures.
The Azov Battalion, for example, has been openly linked to neo-Nazism (and has not been afraid to show it), with its members seen sporting SS symbols and engaging in heavily racist rhetoric. Despite this, Western media and politicians conveniently overlook these associations, choosing instead to portray Ukraine as a beacon of democracy fighting against Russian tyranny. This deliberate misinformation serves only to obscure the reality that Ukraine is far from the liberal democracy it claims to be, in fact its essentially operating a de facto 'dictatorship', similar to that which has kept dangerous Liberal elites in Britain clinging onto power for decades.

Furthermore, whilst Russia has repeatedly expressed its willingness to negotiate peace to end the conflict in Ukraine, the West continues to repeatedly escalate tensions by supplying arms and funding Ukraine's war effort, ensuring that peace remains elusive. Instead of pursuing diplomatic solutions, Britain and its allies seem hell bent on actively propping up a regime that actively suppresses opposition, silences dissent, and operates under strict martial law to maintain control.
So whilst Hartlepool's MP Jonathan Brash may have found his voice in the issue of Ukraine, whilst seemingly failing to reflect on the issues which plague his own constituency, Britain's backing the wrong horse in this conflict, attempting to paint Russia as the world’s pariah, whilst ignoring Ukraine’s own deep-seated extremism and authoritarian trajectory.
If the UK truly valued peace and stability, MP's like Brash would be pushing for negotiations rather than prolonging a war that only serves the interests of military contractors and global elites.
The truth is clear: this is not a battle of democracy versus dictatorship—this is Brash attempting to cement himself in a political role for the front bench, attempting (rather embarrassingly) to jump on any bandwagon that will win him 'brownie points' when Labours Keir Starmer announces a cabinet re-shuffle, & whilst its claimed Mr Brash is seeing himself shortlisted for a potential future role in government on the front benches, one has to pose the question.
Just how many of his own constituents is he going to stand on in order to get there ?
