A former Cleveland Police Officer is set to appear before a Disciplinary Panel facing a number of serious allegations.
The former Officer, only known as PC X, is set to face a gross misconduct hearing at Scotswood House, Thornaby Place, Stockton-on-Tees, between the 14th and 17th of April 2025. The hearing will reportedly examine serious allegations of sexual misconduct, non-consensual intimate photography, and the possession of an illegal weapon.
PC X is accused of:
Sexually assaulting their former partner, who is a serving police officer PC 'A'.
Taking intimate photographs of PC 'A' without their permission.
Being in unlawful possession of a butterfly knife.
It comes just weeks after Former Detective Sergeant Fitzpatrick, a decorated police officer was dismissed from the force of no public confidence following a Disciplinary Hearing that found him guilty of Gross Misconduct, leading to his dismissal from the force immediately & without notice.
A further Misconduct hearing took place earlier this year against one officer who'd not even completed their basic training, with speculation mounting that the timing of the misconduct allegations seemingly coincides with the alleged 'retirement' of Cleveland Police's Chief Constable Mark Webber, following claims he was becoming 'ineffective' in his role to turn around the failing organisation following concerns the force was once again "sliding back into its old habits"....
Gross misconduct hearings of this nature raise serious concerns about the integrity of Cleveland Police and the conduct of its officers and marks the third such case to be put before the Disciplinary Panel this year. Such incidents are not only said to be damaging public confidence in the force, but are also said to be highlighting the urgent need for Cleveland Police to be put back into special measures.
