PC 3464 (Leanne Counter) could be facing the sack from the force following an allegation she was involved in a 'violent assault'....

A Cleveland Police officer is set to face a misconduct hearing next month after being accused of a shocking off-duty assault.

PC Leanne Counter (Badge 3464) will stand before a disciplinary panel on Monday, 17th February 2025, at 10 AM in a hearing conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams.

It is alleged that on Boxing Day 2023 (26th December), whilst off duty, PC Counter repeatedly punched a woman—Mrs. Julie Counter—causing injuries. If proven, this would constitute gross misconduct and a serious breach of police Standards of Professional Behaviour, specifically Discreditable Conduct.

Cleveland Police has faced repeated criticism over the number of officers being either disciplined or dismissed from the force & follows an IPOC report effectively clearing Cleveland Police of any wrongdoing of the death of a man whilst in custody, a report which many claim has shielded officers from criminal charges that would have been brought had they not been protected by a force that's faced corruption allegations since the 1990s.
