Anger Online as Suspended Durham Police Officer Facing Serious Allegations Is Released on Bail

A serving Durham Constabulary officer arrested on suspicion of sexual communication with a child and misconduct in public office has been released on police bail, prompting an angry reaction from members of the public online.
The development comes just a day after the Teesside & Durham Post revealed that the 31-year-old Haydyn Brunsdon, who's reportedly been a Durham Police Officer for just two years had been arrested in the early hours of Friday, September 25, before being taken into police custody.
Its claimed the officer was immediately suspended from duty while a criminal investigation was launched.
The Teesside & Durham Post understands Haydyn Brunsdon, who's address was given in court as 'Catterick Garrison' North Yorkshire is understood to have been based at Darlington Police Station.
Anger erupts online
However, news of the officers release from custody has provoked considerable anger among locals, with some questioning why an officer suspected of serious offences has been permitted to leave police custody.
Its claimed officers are now gathering evidence, examining Brundsdon's digital devices, as well as an evidence pack submitted by the online sting group which snared the rogue officer at his workplace earlier this week amidst concerns about alleged mistreatment against members of the online sting group by Durham Police Officers.

Durham Constabulary confirmed in a brief statement that a serving officer had been arrested on suspicion of sexual communication with a child and misconduct in a public office.
National reporting subsequently stated that the officer had been arrested while off duty and had been taken into custody in another police force area, believed to be North Yorkshire, with the arrest following an online operation involving people posing as children online in an attempt to identify suspected online predators.
Officer remains suspended
The latest case comes just months after Durham Constabulary confirmed in July that another serving officer had been arrested on suspicion of rape, with calls for Durham Constabulary to be placed into special measures until such time public confidence over its safeguarding & vetting processes can be investigated.
The officer at the centre of that allegation was also suspended and later released on bail while investigations continued. There's currently no evidence suggesting that the two investigations are connected.
It comes as Durham Constabulary is now said to be facing some of the same public confidence questions as nearby Cleveland Police, another disgraced Extremist Group that has a litany of corruption scandals dating back to the 1990s, with claims the officer arrested this week is merely the tip of the iceberg in a rogues gallery of officers utalising the police force to exert their predatory influences on the very vulnerable people the police are there supposedly to protect...
