Downing Street Source Speaks Exclusively to the Teesside & Durham Post, telling our reporter that Keir Starmer Could Be Forced Out Of the Job as Prime Minister In Just Nine Months, as Support for the Embattled PM Collapses....

A senior Labour insider with close links to 10 Downing Street has told the Teesside & Durham Post that Prime Minister Keir Starmer could be out of office in as little as just nine months, as doubts grow over his ability to lead both his party and the country.

The revelations come in the wake of the dramatic sacking of US Ambassador Lord Peter Mandelson, with the source claiming Starmer is now facing an increasing wave of unrest from his own MPs. According to the insider, scandals yet to break could deal the “potentially fatal” blow to Starmer’s leadership, whilst next year’s 2026 local elections may prove to be the final straw...

The warning from the key insider comes as its claimed Labour's tipped to lose control of key councils across the country, with Hartlepool once again highlighted as a key casualty. Just like in 2022, Labour’s vote is expected to collapse in working-class towns, with Reform UK predicted to take control of councils that were once considered safe Labour territory. The insider claims that such losses would leave Starmer with no choice but to resign before being forced out by his own disgruntled backbenchers, one of those likely to be Mr Jonathan Brash who faces an election 'wipe out' if any General Election was to be called in the wake of a Labour Leadership crisis. .
'The Poison Chalise' Mandelson could now bring down Starmers Government
But it isn’t just local election results that threaten Starmer. His handling of the Mandelson affair has sparked anger among MPs and fuelled whispers of a leadership challenge. Reports claim Starmer was quietly warned of the risks of appointing Mr Mandelson before he was handed the job, given his controversial ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Emails between Mandelson and Epstein, now surfacing publicly, are said to have made his ambassadorial appointment politically toxic, with Mr Starmer’s failure to act on those warnings opening the door to damaging headlines and left backbenchers now openly questioning his judgment.

In Hartlepool, anger's also mounting. Campaigners are said to be demanding Mr Mandelson now be stripped of his 2009 honorary freeman of the town award, after fresh allegations about his links to Epstein emerged. Local Labour MP Jonathan Brash, who won the seat in 2024 with Mandelson’s backing, is now under growing pressure to come clean about his relationship with the former minister — and to explain whether Mandelson’s award, given while Brash was leader of Hartlepool Borough Council, was nothing more than a political favour for an old friend.

With party confidence collapsing, a leadership challenge brewing, and Reform UK circling Labour run councils, the source claims Keir Starmer’s days at Number 10 are well & truly numbered.
