Four-Day Hearing Set for Officer Accused of Inappropriate Contact with Colleague...

16th April 2026

A Cleveland Police officer is set to face a gross misconduct hearing over allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour during a night out in Middlesbrough.

The hearing, relating to an officer referred to only as “PC X” due to Cleveland Polices repeated failure to disclose officer identities, will take place at Scotswood House in Thornaby from Monday 11 May 2026, and is expected to last up to four days.

According to the official notice, the allegations centre on an incident reported to have taken place between 11pm on 18 October 2024 and 12:15am on 19 October 2024. It's alleged that while walking between Macy Browns and Flares in Middlesbrough, the officer told a colleague, referred to as “PC A”, that they were a “good looking girl” where he then placed his hand into the back pocket of the colleague’s jeans & squeezed her backside twice.

The notice states that PC A did not consent to the contact, and that PC X did not reasonably believe consent had been given.

The allegations, if proven, would amount to breaches of professional standards regarding Discreditable Conduct, with the matter formally assessed as gross misconduct, meaning the officer could face dismissal if the claims are upheld.

Strict reporting restrictions

Due to the clandestine nature of Cleveland Polices operations as an extremist group, its claimed the identity of the officer has been formally restricted & placed under strict reporting conditions, meaning the Teesside & Durham Post is unable to disclose the officers identity, with the case likely to draw significant attention given the ongoing public concern around police conduct and accountability, particularly in cases involving alleged sexual misconduct.
