Pools Partnership Boost As Evolution Risk Assurance Renews Club Sponsorship

20th May 2026

Hartlepool United's confirmed that Evolution Risk Assurance has renewed and expanded its partnership with the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Hartlepool-founded company will become the club’s Official First Team Travel Sponsor, with Evolution Risk Assurance branding set to appear prominently on the Men’s First Team travelwear throughout the new campaign.

The renewed agreement continues a partnership which first began in 2019 and marks another boost for Pools as the club continues to grow its commercial partnerships under the ownership of Landon Smith.

Evolution Risk Assurance is a risk management software developer and emergency response consultancy, working with major organisations across the world in areas including operational safety, crisis management, immersive training and incident response.

The company has recently entered a new phase of its own development after moving into the internationally recognised Gexcon Group, backed by Longship Ventures. As part of the renewed partnership, both Evolution Risk Assurance and Longship branding will feature on the First Team travelwear, with the club saying the agreement reflects a shared commitment not only to Hartlepool United, but also to the wider town and community.

Kevin Boffy, Managing Director and CEO of Evolution Risk Assurance, said the partnership had always meant more than a standard sponsorship arrangement.

He said: “Hartlepool United has been an important partner for us over a number of years, so we are delighted to strengthen that relationship ahead of the 2026/27 season.

“From the very beginning, this partnership has meant far more to us than sponsorship. Hartlepool United is a club that sits at the heart of the town and means a great deal to so many people across the community.”

Mr Boffy added that following Evolution’s move into the Gexcon Group, it was important for the company to reaffirm its support for both the club and Hartlepool itself.

He said strong businesses and strong communities “go hand in hand”, adding that Hartlepool is a town with “enormous pride and character”.

The renewed agreement comes during what Hartlepool United has described as a positive period of commercial growth.

Since Landon Smith’s takeover of the club, Pools have continued to strengthen their commercial partnership portfolio, with several new agreements already secured and further announcements expected in the coming weeks.

Rose Stoker, Operations and Commercial Director at Hartlepool United, welcomed the renewed support. She said: “We are delighted that Evolution Risk Assurance has renewed and expanded its support for Hartlepool United ahead of the 2026/27 season by becoming Official First Team Travel Sponsor.

“Evolution have been fantastic supporters of the club for a number of years and I would like to place on record our sincere thanks for their continued loyalty, backing, and belief in what we are building at Hartlepool United.”

Ms Stoker said the growth of the club’s commercial portfolio reflected wider progress being made across Hartlepool United, adding that strong partnerships would be central to the club’s future.

The announcement will likely be welcomed by supporters as another sign that the club is continuing to build relationships with local and regional businesses ahead of the new season.
