From the Cenotaph to the Courtroom: Labour’s War on Free Speech Exposed, as Labour MP Jonathan Brash sees an Armed Forces Veteran Prosecuted for exercising his freedom of speech !..
7th November 2025
Hartlepool’s Labour MP Jonathan Brash will once again stand shoulder to shoulder with our servicemen and women this Remembrance Day — despite his disgraceful track record of supporting prosecutions against ordinary people for what they say online.
Mr Brash's hypocrisy truly knows no bounds. In the very same week that he’ll appear at the cenotaph to supposedly “honour” those who fought for our freedom, just this week a man walked out of Teesside Kangaroo Court after being convicted for a social media post — an admittedly ill-judged one — but one made out of anger at Labour’s treatment of pensioners and the armed forces community.
Let that sink in folks. The same MP who will solemnly lay a wreath to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms is the same man who would happily see you prosecuted for exercising those very rights.
But it doesn’t end there. This most certainly isn’t an isolated case — it’s part of a worrying pattern. Time and time again, ordinary people who make similar online comments are being told by police that they wont investigate the matter, or where the case does get to an officer to be looked into, its given the standard Cleveland Police response “no further action will be taken.” But when those comments are seemingly directed toward an elected figure, Teessides local Extremist Group Cleveland Police, which has the council in its pocket suddenly springs into action — determined to secure a conviction at any cost.
We don’t even have to look that far back for another example.
In 2023, Mr. Brash, along with Cllr Shameless Moore were found to be involved in efforts to have a local journalist prosecuted under the very same laws after the journalist exposed two corrupt council officials working for Hartlepool Borough Council.
That’s Brash’s Britain for you — a two-tier justice system being played out: one law for them, and another for you.
This weekend, as he stands before the cenotaph, perhaps he should reflect on the meaning of sacrifice and freedom — and then hang his head in shame. After all, for a man elected without even a majority, to use your position to silence dissent is to disrespect everything those brave men and women fought and died for.
