Durham & Teesside Today's statement in response to Meta UK & the Legal Action we are taking....

12th December 2024

Durham & Teesside Today regret to inform you that as from the 12th December 2024, Meta UK informed us that the ever popular Social Media Page Hartlepool Borough Council Exposed has been removed from the platform on what can only be described as a targeted attack by a number of extremists who have sought on a constant basis to stifle freedom of speech & expression.

We are aware of the individuals responsible who work for two separate organisations.

We are in the process of seeking legal action against those organisations, including the individuals who've repeatedly made malicious & baseless claims regarding our website & our social media page due to its increasing popularity.

Whilst this will be disruptive to our day to day operations, we will strive to ensure that publications are published via alternative platforms & we can assure our readers that injunctive relief is currently being sought in the High Court for the page to be reinstated as Meta UK have failed to give any reasons for the pages suspension, nor have they identified the persons responsible for the allegations.

We have, however got the information as to the individuals concerned & will be takign action accordingly.

We will post updates as soon as its possible to do so & thank all our followers & readers for their continued support . ...
