There's calls for an urgent investigation after video footage posted on social media shows a Cleveland Police officer repeatedly raining blows on a suspect who was already pinned to the ground in Stockton-on-Tees.

The disturbing video, reportedly filmed on Hartington Road Stockton on Tees earlier today, has triggered an avalanche of outrage across social media. Furious commentators are branding Cleveland Police a “rogue force” even going so far as to accusing it of operating on the “borderline of terrorism.” Calls are now said to be mounting for the Home Office to launch an urgent investigation, with campaigners demanding the force be stripped of its authority and officially designated as a terrorist organisation.
