The Teesside & Durham Post understands the business property at 12 Murray Street Hartlepool, trading under the name 'Afreen Super Store' was handed the three month closure order at a hearing at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday (30th July 2025) & prevents anyone from accessing the property, where a breach of the order can lead to a fine or even imprisonment for flouting the order.

The closure order comes just weeks after its claimed the business was raided by both Immigration Officials as well as HM Revenue & Customs, its said that an application for a closure order on the business came shortly thereafter to prevent further illegal activity from being undertaken on the premises.

Its the fourth such closure order to be undertaken on business premises on or around Hartlepool's Murray Street, with claims the vast majority of the closure orders come as part of efforts to tackle serious organised crime & money laundering.

The closure order is set to remain on the shop until the 29th October 2025 when authorities could seek to ask the court for the order to be extended for a further three months.
