It comes as a number of political parties begin their local election campaigns much earlier than planned in the run up to the May 2026 local council elections.
25th October 2025
Reform UK Hartlepool will be holding an Action Day, this weekend on Saturday 25th October, as part of the party’s nationwide campaign to engage with voters ahead of the next general election, as well as the upcoming local council elections scheduled for May 2026.

Local members and supporters will reportedly be out in the local community from 10am onwards, speaking face to face with residents and offering people a chance to get to know the party better.
According to Amanda Napper, Interim Chair of Reform UK Hartlepool, the event is not just about recruiting members or seeking donations, but about connecting with local people during difficult economic times.
“If people want to donate or join up as members then that will be fantastic,” Napper said, “but in the current financial crisis that so many of us are facing, a smile and a chat are just as welcome.
Reform now seen as the 'Credible Alternative' to Labour in Hartlepool

Reform UK, led nationally by Nigel Farage, has been growing in visibility across Teesside area in recent months especially in towns such as Hartlepool, where Reform UK now have three sitting ward councillors, as well as political control of nearby Durham County Council, with an increasing number of residents expressing frustration with both Labour and the Conservatives.
Labour also began its early local election campaign in several town wards across Hartlepool last week, where the party is poised to see a significant number of Labour held seats being challenged by Reform UK in May 2026 across Hartlepool.
Tomorrow’s event is expected to be an opportunity for the party to demonstrate that Hartlepool is not forgotten, and that Reform UK intends to be a strong voice for ordinary people who feel let down by the political establishment.
