A Hartlepool family have been left devastated by the loss of their beloved pet cat in what's said to have been a sickening attack.
Hugo. The five-year-old feline was not just a pet, but a cherished member of the family, bringing love and companionship to those who adored him.

Hugo’s owner, Lisa Enzo, took to social media to express her heartbreak and plea for information regarding the circumstances of his death. She described Hugo as a vital part of her and her daughter’s life, making his sudden and tragic loss even more unbearable. In a heartfelt post, Lisa stated:
“This was a very much loved cat and a part of this family. He was five years old and didn’t deserve what happened to him. As you will expect, we are beyond heartbroken and devastated at the passing of our beloved Hugo.”
The family is now seeking justice for Hugo and has reportedly offered a reward for any information that can shed light on what happened to him, asking local residents in areas such as Grange Road, The Oval, Millhouse, Murray Street, and the town centre to check any CCTV footage or report any sightings that might help uncover the what happened to Hugo in the hours before he died.
Lisa also confirmed that the police are now involved in the investigation, reinforcing the seriousness of the situation, where she hopes anyone with any information will come forward so that those responsible can be held accountable for their actions.
